Leading by Example

True leadership is by example. You preceed, establish a direction for others to follow. If you cheat government taxes, you teach your employees how to steal stock or cash. If you are downright, your employees will awake their conscience and you could save thousands of dollars in a year.

Relations, Commitment and Delegation

For me, the leader is one who creates a family environment within the team, Hence, I keep Relations at the top. Commitment comes second. Every individual should be clear on their responsiblity and goal, so that they put their efforts at the right place with a lot of commitment. A leader should first be committed to make leaders from his team. People who help him grow should be taken care of and grown to heights. For this, every leader must delegate his responsiblity to the right person. "Delegation is key to sucess" and actually, I've personally experienced it. But here, the key is delegating things to the right person. For this leader has to closly monitor each and every person working for/with him/her. People say managing a team is toughest job but I say it's one of the simplest jobs. You create a family environment; things will follow.

Employees Are Your Assets

Employees are an organization's greatest assets; without them, everyday business functions such as managing cash flow, making business transactions, communicating through all forms of media, and dealing with customers could not be completed. Employees and the potential they possess drive an organization. Today's organizations are continuously changing. Organizational change impacts not only the business but also its employees. In order to maximize organizational effectiveness, human potential, and individuals' capabilities, time and talents must be managed. Human resource management works to ensure that employees are able to meet the organization's goals.

Leadership Is the Key

In any business circumstance, leadership is the key. Good leadership will breed good managers. Many people are effective "managers" in that they can get some things done. This can be done by disinterested managers, semi-competent managers, etc. Managing is not the key; leadership is. Leadership is the ability to organize a team and motivate them to accomplish a task or goal, ever so mundane or highly extraordinary. Clear communication of structure, positions, duties, tasks and the "goal," among team members, is crucial. This truly has a direct relationship to a team sport. If all of the players are confused and not on the same page, then the chances of victory or success are drastically diminished. Leadership is being that effective "head coach" that has all facets of the team pulling in the same direction to achieve a common goal. Varying parts of the team may have different tasks or duties, but the the "how" of those parts coming together is Leadership; the ultimate key to success.
