Today's Carnival highlights leadership and management issues. Dan McCarthy has put together a widely representative sample of writing from people who blog about leadership issues and the read is worth your time. Carnivals give you the opportunity to sample the ideas and the writing style of a broad group of writers. Check it out.
On a divergent, yet relevant topic, I have been blogging 4-7 times a week on several sites, including here, since 1998. I guess you might call me an early proponent of blogging. I love the informal style and the opportunity to interact directly with my readers. It's great to share ideas and to build upon them. I also admit that I love self-publishing without the oversight of an editor. If you blog, I'd love to hear from you.

More About Blogging for Business

I blog for a number of reasons. I find that when I think of a subject deeply over time and write about my retention and understanding are enhanced. Also I do it to attract others to my thinking and hope to create a community. Those interested in HR and issues around values and leadership may be interested in a free value assessment I had coded in India a number of years ago. (http://www.co2partners.com/cardgame/index.php). I find people really like it. What is amazing to me though is that todate 42% of the people say Love is their number one value. I find this amazing becuase of all the issues we have going on in our world. I often wonder if this has more to do with thier aspiration verses how they are today. I find knowing ones top six core values very helpful in leadership and in any area of ones life.
I blog as a way to release some of the ideas I get when reading books about Sales, Human Recources, Recruiting, etc. I just started my blog this year and I’m looking forward to continuing it through next year too.
