- I was starting an Outward Bound course in northern Queensland with people from all over Australia, most of whom weren't known to each over. The facilitator had us stand on the trunk of a large tree that had fallen over. The first person at one end had to walk along the trunk without falling off. It naturally involved holding on to each person that he/she passed - also involving lots & lots of laughs. Then each person in turn had to do the same. The exercise broke down any barriers within a very short time. It's the best icebreaker that I've ever seen.
