Share Why You Chose a Career in Human Resources

I've always been a "people" person and have a "servant's spirit." I find HR, specifically recruiting, a very rewarding way to satisfy both character traits.

Tell How You Came to Work In a Human Resources Career

I was a Flight Attendant for 12 years. Knowing I would not spend my entire career in that industry, I sought avenues to transition, keeping me in the "service" industry. During my last year in aviation, I took a position as Staffing Assistant with a small Federal Government contractor. A friend actually contacted me stating he thought I'd be great at the job. He called back to say he'd told the CEO about me and she wanted an interview. I was interviewed and hired on the spot! I was with the company for 7 years.
