Being in HR for a number of years, I wanted the old 'Oliver Twist' - I wanted more! Thus started to specialise in Training - this was an offshoot of my role in the Community as Venturer Scout Leader of 14-18 year old boys and girls. Thus, I eventually completed my Cert.IV Workplace & Training (TAA).

Tell How You Came to Work In a Human Resources Career

Original career in HR began with working for the Human Resources Manager for a large manufacturing organisation, then progressed to work for the HR Director for the same organisation - both of which were great mentors and encouraged me to undertake formal study. I realised that dealing with people was fantastic in every way.

Tips and Tricks

* Be open minded, be empathetic, learn from as many people as you can from every level of industry. Be a mentor and continue to look for mentors.
