Terra Vanzant-Stern, PhD. is president-elect of the Colorado Human Resource Association (CHRA), a Super Mega Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is a 20-year veteran of Human Resources management and has served the industry in the areas of HR, Training, Organizational and Leadership Development as well as project management. She is the author of HR Concepts for Project Managers and was named the 1995 Educator of the Year for the State of Colorado.
Dr. Vanzant-Stern holds several certifications that include Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR). She is a member of several professional organizations that include the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Project Management International (PMI), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Her background includes HR leadership roles at IHS, TRW and Quality Health.
She currently is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt for SSD Global, Inc. and specializes in a class called Lean Thinking for HR Professionals. Dr. Vanzant-Stern has a Bachelor¹s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in HR Management, and holds a PhD. in International Leadership and Business Ethics.
