New Resignation Letter Plus 100+ More Sample Letters

By May 7, 2014

Follow me on:

My newest sample letter gives you a guide to resigning from your job to accept a promotion in another company. You want to resign with care and professionalism when you decide to leave your current employer. The letter is placed in your personnel file and strangers may read it years after it was written.

You never know where your career path will take you. If you remain in the same industry, you'll find that you cross paths with the same people repeatedly. So, you'll never know when one of them may be in a position to affect your career progress.

Consequently, your employment resignation is never the time to complain about or attack your current employer. The best advice is to leave matters at peace. If you didn't go after the problems while you were employed, you cannot hope to affect them when you have your foot out the door.

Do participate in an exit interview, and if there were opportunities for improvement, you can point them out with professionalism and in the spirit of workplace improvement. Your comments will be merged with those of other exiting employees and, in good organizations, the comments will get to the appropriate people who can use them for self and organizational improvement.

100+ Sample Letters

Today is a banner day. I have exceeded 100 sample letters for employers. I continue to write a sample letter or so a week, so the collection will grow, but I wanted to announce them to make sure you know that they are there. These sample letters run the gamut from disciplinary letters to praise, recognition, and thank you.

Take a look at the letters and use them as you can to write employment letters of your own.
