4 Tips for Employee Gifts

Many employers provide a holiday gift for employees as a sign of good will and to thank the employees for their contributions throughout the year. Some also provide profit sharing and bonuses for employees during the holiday season or in the first month of next year.

Regardless of the holiday parties and events that employers provide for employees, a gift is always valued, too. Our guest writer, David Jones, CEO and President of GiftCard.com (pictured), has four tips for employers about how to make those holiday gifts special for employees.

You hear it regularly from me, and especially at this time of the year, but your gift means more in terms of recognition and gratitude when it is accompanied by a note from the manager. The even-more-personal touch, the written reinforcement about the employee's contribution, is motivational and contributes to employee job satisfaction. I call it a big win.
