Sample employment letters seem simple until you think about the ramifications inherent in getting them wrong. You risk missing details in your employment offer letter. An uninviting new employee welcome letter can affect your relationship with your new employee before their start date. So, a simple concept can be hard to execute.

Consequently, I’ve been writing sample employment letters this month. I trust you’ll find these suggested formats useful. Use them as is with your prospective and new employees or alter them to feel more like you and your company. Since much of what I write comes to me from reader suggestions, please let me know if you’d like to see additional sample employment letters.

Several readers wrote recently asking me about a social media policy. In case you missed this last week, I published How to Develop a Social Media Policy. Several sample policies are linked from this how-to piece and I developed a blogging and social media policy for this site.
