Just a Quick Heads Up About the HR Site

Wednesday March 14, 2007
Daily, I appreciate every person who reads this site. After all, who wants to write something that no one reads? That would seriously demotivate me. Well, I am happy to say that thousands of people read the site. In some months 25,000+ people read a single article on the site. This is seriously motivating. It is also generating a level of email with which I can no longer keep up. So, I have changed some of the most basic tenets of the site. And, I wanted to give you a heads up.

I answer between 20 and 50 emails a day just relating to the About.com Human Resources site, but some days I receive more than that. Sometimes, however, the volume exceeds my capacity for responding. So, in an effort to better deal with current site submissions, article submissions, and reader questions, I have deleted everything that I had received, and been unable to address, prior to February 1, 2007. I apologize, but I have reduced my stress level by 1000 percent, and can now focus on 2007. I thought it only fair to let you know, however. New submissions need to follow these revised guidelines. I still welcome all of my interaction with readers.
