Use the Web for Recruiting: Recruit Online

Saturday December 30, 2006
Is there an employer who has yet to begin recruiting employees online? I'd like to hear from you in "comments" below, if you exist. Most employers are asking questions about making online recruiting most effective these days, not about whether to recruit online.

In one of my favorite HR blogs / newsletters, The HR Daily Advisor from BLR, I found that eQuest, a company that manages job postings on the Web for more than 11,000 companies, researched the best days and time of day to post jobs online. After looking at over 1 million employment ads during a six month time period, eQuest concluded that employers are best off posting jobs early in the week. Their research told them that job searchers tend to look at postings Monday through Thursday with a marked falling off on Friday and over the weekend. Best times to reach job searchers? 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. See the rest of the details at Employment Ads: What Are the Best Days to Post Them?
