Motivation is a perpetual concern of readers at the HR site. Hey, I'm in the same boat as you are with my work with a 160 person client company. Bosses who don't empower, policies that constrain contribution, people missing from key positions, monotonous work and pay scales lower than we want to see, affect motivation.
