Top Ten Recruiting Tips

Because of an upturn in business, we sought and found nine production employees for a client business. We also need a Network Administrator and a Logistics Manager.

With the help of a trusted temp firm, we found seven of the production employees and we recruited the rest. I'm sorting through a hundred logistics resumes. The Network Administrator is attracting the fewest applicants.

Recruiting is fun - I enjoy meeting the new people and trying to match the best people to the job we have. I read once, however, that the best predictor of the ultimate success of any candidate you hire is that the candidate was successfully employed in a similar job when you hired him or her. I wish I had the source of this data; I'd use it regularly.
